Where Does SKS Work?

Mission

Swayam Krishi Sangam's mission is to empower the poorest of the poor to become self-reliant. We do this through a community-owned grameen (village) banking program that provides poor women loans for both income-generating activities as well as for emergencies.

Objectives

to reach 25,000 poor families by the end of FY 2004-05.
to increase administrative efficiency until the administrative cost of a rupee loan outstanding is approximately 10 paisa.
to have loans outstanding of 11.7 crore rupees ($2.78 million) by the end of FY 2004-05.
to maintain a portfolio at risk of less than 5%.
to break even financially by the end of FY 2003-04.
